Choosing the perfect accessory to emphasize your best facial features is easier than you think. Take a great pair of earrings for instance. The right pair of earrings should compliment and accentuate the shape of your face. Being in and around the beauty and fashion world for nearly 20 years, I truly love to find that perfect fit. As an esthetician and makeup artist, I’ve put my passion for beauty and fashion to work. A easy way to flatter the shape of your face is by choosing the right pair of earrings and I’m here to tell you how to do just that.

First determine the shape your face, and also consider the length of your hair. It is important to choose earrings that suit your individual style as well as what will flatter your face. Wearing the right style of earrings will accentuate your positive features and give you the natural confidence that always comes with wearing beautiful jewelry.

A heart shaped face (wider forehead and cheekbones, narrow jaw line) is best suited for tear-drop and chandelier style earrings that broaden the chin. Two styles of earrings that work beautifully with a heart shaped face are the Turquoise Teardrops by MarieChavez and also the Double Teardrop earrings by Nashelle.

Square shaped faces (forehead, jaw and cheekbones nearly equal) look great wearing hoops and curvy earrings that add length to the face. One of my favorites for square shaped faces is the Silver Fringe Hoop earrings or the the Moroccan Drop Earrings by MarieChavez.

An oval shaped face (sloping inward equally from the cheekbone to the forehead and downward to the chin) is the shape where almost anything goes. Studs and dangling earrings both are wonderful choices.

Round faces (as wide as it is long) look stunning with dangling earrings that elongate the face drawing the eye downward. The Crystal Deco earrings or the Custom Three Stone Drop earrings are perfect fits for round faces.

A Rectangular face (longer than it is wide) is complimented by thicker earrings that add width to the face, as well as circular shapes. My recommendation: Love Bird earrings by MarieChavez, and my personal favorite the Nashelle Lucky Gemstone Trio earrings.
